"We accept the love we think we deserve"
This quote has haunted me ever since the day I first read it. Mostly because I feel it hits such a soft place in me, a subconcious place I didn't even recognize. I've always watched the shows on tv and saw how an abused female takes the beating from her husband/and or controlling boy friend and said "Why don't you just RUN! Get away from this abuse!" But I've never stopped to consider that hey, maybe she stays because this domestic abuse is a repetition of what happened in her childhood, what she's used to. And so this brings me to another quote : " Its funny how Knowledge Changes Perception."

I think it can be applied to other types of love too- like through an experience I was left really insecure with friendships and for a year just stopped making an effort because I was scared of getting close to someone and they realising that I'm not cool and stop liking me

Hi! I am moving to India this year to volunteer. I'm so so so excited about it and am going to be working in rural areas trying to provide basic services that we all take so much for granted. It is going to be an amazing trip and I'm fundraising for it right now!
