So my time IS cut short, but I mean it doesn't always have to be an outfit post. I think I wanted my blog to start out that way, but I truly need to figure out the direction I want it to go now. Oh, my new county dress code is TERRIBLE! Expecially since I had already brought ALL my back to school clothes. Let me fill you in on some of the policies:
1. No skinny jeans, or skinny pants
2. No sunglasses (to you this may not seem like a problem, but my school is built like a florida campus-outdoor lockers, hallways, ect.)
3. no scarves or dangly clothing
4. no skirts or shorts shorter than 3inches above the knee
5. No exposure of back and no chest exposure of any kind.
6. And the worst of all...absolutely no heels of ANY kind! NOOOO.

But I'm a rebel, so fully aware of the rules, I decided to break rule #5 and...I got sent to the office. SGA president sitting on the office bench...not a good look. But hey, you only live once. <3

What exactly IS a blogger? What exactly does a blogger do? Well they BLOG silly!...wait no...I don't know...what is BLOGGING? A dictionary definition won't help me now for I like to think of things in a logical sense. I guess I will define a blogger in terms of how I see it: A blogger is one who puts their everyday life into writing and pictures, with some inspiration on the side for others to view.
Well this definition of mine may change, I'm only in highschool and I believe I have a few more things to learn, experience, taste and feel before I can become an efficient blogger. What is YOUR definition?

While I was figuring out what a true blogger was, I was also D.I.Ying ANOTHER tshirt with my best friend (see other shirt in latter post). Our challenge was creating a motto that signified US as individuals. Of course, as always, it was hard for me to just choose one word, so I came up with the phrase "I am NOT afraid." And I will try my DARNDEST to live up to that this school year...by the way school starts in 4 days...oh wankers.

Today I went the the MVA to take my permit test and for some reason it was cold outside so I decided to wear my levis, A Charlotte Russe military blazer and a hot pink Roxy shirt with gladiators...yes very random but I guess I was so nervous about the test that I didnt think. And drumroll... I passed my test!...but this was only after the long process of showing my original birth certificate and proof of citizenship since I was not born in the states. Oh my, things are changing!

To celebrate my passing the permit test, me and mommy went thrifting. I found these really niftly Lauren by Ralph Lauren pants I sewed into skinnies, and gold necklace. I always emphasize that I'd much rather go thrifting than shop in a regular store because of the great original finds you can get that no one else has =]

You know how your grandma passes something down to you that you think is ugly, and you store it away? But then a couple years go by and as youre rummaging through some old stuff you see that thing and youre like "Hey, I wonder why I ever threw this away, it looks pretty cool?!"
Well thats how I feel about this teeny tiny bag I found in my BASEMENT today. In a BOX! ugh poor thing needed to be dusted off and needed some love =]

With summer here and the hot weather going from hot to...well not so hot, my mood as well is wishy washy.
But I've decided, and I'm DETERMINED to not spend ONE full day in the house...or alone for that matter. Yes, it will be a challenge, but I'm up for it, I mean how hard can it be?
What IS hard is realizing that I am indeed a senior now, and by this time next year I will be packing my stuff and heading to _______ University. Or University of _______ to study_____...Journalism? Yea, that thing that magazine editors do. Hah, thats not a very straight course of study is it? I'll probably just end up interning for 5 years, to the shame of my family. But as long as I'm happy doing what I do...WAIT, tmi. Lets get through the summer first!

I've always watched the shows on tv and saw how an abused female takes the beating from her husband/and or controlling boy friend and said "Why don't you just RUN! Get away from this abuse!" But I've never stopped to consider that hey, maybe she stays because this domestic abuse is a repetition of what happened in her childhood, what she's used to. I wonderfully and fiercly turned 17 on May 14th, 2010 and I could not feel any...normal? Haha its funny, everyone keeps saying I should feel older or something...nahhh.

Friday the 27th I went to the ROCKHOP+ROLL tour expecting to see some pretty cool bands. I'd gotten a random mix of some of the bands songs the week earlier, which included Attaboy, Highland fall, and Jared Mahone. Jared Mahone, who described himself as the "white guy sandwhiched between 2 bands" was absolutely glistening. I fell in love with his song "Somebody Knows", although I had to complain to him afterwords about not singing it. I told him he was a mix between Jason Mraz and some black R+B singer...I think he took it as a compliment!

Its spring breeeeaaakkk and Philadelphia was the first place we hit for some sight seeing and fun.

We went to Buca Di Peppo which is a cute little funky italian restaurant designed to be like Grandma's italian house! We had spaghetti, chicken parmesan, and we made our own canoli's! The restaurant was really beautiful, expecially the bathroom which had the cutest...and cookiest photos.

So this weekend I had to do some SERIOUS packing because my 4 day college tour is coming up. We will be hitting New York (Times Square), Philly, and New Jersey. I've been itching to wearing nothing but knee socks and tights, so those will fersure be going in my bag. A long with 10 pounds of snacks and water. I gotta have my water people!

On Monday I wore AE shorts with my butterfly tights. I got A LOT of weird stares at school, but I tried to ignore them as I reassured myself I was wearing what IIII wanted. And I really did leave the house happy, so thats all that matters right?

I would like to first thank EVERYONE for all the lovely comments. Expecially all you fashion bloggers, I live in a small town and I try to make it verry interesting, thank you for being interested in my post, since I'm just starting out. I look at all your blogs and I do adore them very much!

So after I received all A's on my progress report, I went on hiatus! I had worked oh so hard, locked myself away at home, locked away the computer/cellphone, and isolated myself from my friends because that was the only way I knew how to keep my grades up! Concentration, concentration, concentration! So after that victory, I was like PSH! ITS FRIENDSHIP TIME! Lets chill, lets relax, lets just get away, be with each other and have a GREAT time.
I went bowling with the girls on Friday, and the fact that I sucked didn't matter, we weren't there for competition <3

Sorry blog readers and jumpers, my computer has been down for sooo long, and considering the fact that we've been snowed in for over a week now doesn't help at all. Being home and not even being able to blog...stupid Dell computer! Haha but on the bright side...I've had a chance to procrastinate on homework, which really excites me because I usually get the assignment, and BOOM I get it down. And I've found that procrastinating and taking your time pays off! I'm not as stressed, and therefore I feel like I'm doing better on my assignment. What do I do when I'm bored and can't even get outside the front door, make outfits and eat of course! DUH!
And I truly feel the pounds packing on so I've been doing some exercises to Gilad. Mostly jump roping and ab stuff. But of COURSE the 4th day I try to exercise, woop there it is! We have school. So again, blogging's been delayed. Sitting, waiting, wishing for my new laptop! (Oh and college too!)

Speaking Out

So a couple months ago some producers from 'Speaking Out' (a mother and son who want to do a local talk show on teens facing issues today) stopped by to talk to us at Kids of Honor. I was immediately interested and signed up ASAP. They got in contact with me about a week later and I went over to Salisbury University to shoot the broadcast. It was an incredibly warm environment, they had snacks for us in the "green room" and they really did make me feel very comfortable. When it was interview time, me, one other teen, a college student, and the interviewer who was also in college chatted about genetic engineering, genetically modifying animals, vegetarian vs. meat eaters, economy, robotics- just a wide variety of things teens had opinions on. Yes, yes, yes me and mother DID in fact drive 2 hours to Washington D.C to go shopping for food. My mom loves to cook and since we're from Cameroon, we eat a lot of foreign food. Washington D.C is the mecca, and it has a superb African culture with all types of food and people, I love it. And Real Worlds current season takes place there so that makes it soo much better! We hit up a store yesterday, and here are some familar Cameroon foods I haven't had in a while.

Skins Series

I absolutely adore the tv series "Skins". It may be because its so "scandalous" and a part of me wishes I could be like the teens on that show...minus the drinking, promiscuity, and drugs, lol. But the way they dress on the show, and their attitudes/personalities just make me wish I was their best friend, or at least in their english class. I always appreciated European style, the French, the English, and expecially the SKINS! So I browsed E4 and decided to post some of their outfits that I thought were just too cool for school.

Effy is the epitome and perfect symbol for skins. Awkwardly fitting, confused but certain, confidently shy character and I wanted to be like her in every way. She flossed a sense of untouchable charisma and could be quiet but still say a million words. I suppose if you've watched Skins you know what I'm talking about, lol.

Freddie, my dear was the hearthrob of the series. Started off the show with him skateboarding through England and smoking a cig with his best buds. Ahh to be a rebellious teenage. Also fell madly for Effy, but who wouldnt? Oh yea, Cook did too...

Cook, was a bad bad boy. For the first few episodes he just seemed so unlikeable, only because he was hooking up with his best friends love interest, oh but also because he was a jerk, doing too much drugs, and caring about nothing but partying and sex. I mean they all cared about these things, but he seemed like the only person who couldn't handle it. But, wait, I thought all bad kids on tv could handle the pressure...hmm? Loved Cook.

"Panda" Pandora. Isn't her name some sort of technical website? It sounds technical. Her outfits on "Skins" pretty much described her in every way. Awkward, surprising, weird, but still pretty much fitting for the occasion.

J.J seemed like the perfect fit for Panda, and surprisingly, they never hooked up. WHY? I do not know. He ended up sleeping with Emily, but it was just "buddy sex". Confusing, yea, but I have to keep reminding myself that "SKINS" Is not American, and it may be normal. Anyways, I adored J.J's good boy ( but still on drugs) contradiction to the show. How he ended up best friends with an alchoholic and drug addict, we will never know, but were glad he was there, and had kick-butt style!

Naomi. She was just the epitome of coolness on the show. Bad butt f&*#! off to the whole world. But when she started falling in love with Emily her soft spot came out and you saw that she had just put up a protective shield, but her style still screams "you cant touch me".

Emily was by far the most relatabel character on the show for me. I related more to her style of comfort peices, with an extra peice that sort of didn't belong. And oh yea, we both share a love of carrying over sized bags to school everyday.

Rock the Blue+Gold!

Friday we picked up our 2nd pep rally of the year, and I had the honor of taking pictures of the event for Journalism class. Walking around, sitting down, getting different angles. Way more fun that just sitting in the stands. Lots of people were dancing, having dance offs, haha, there was a mini fashion show, and basketball game that went on during the pep rally. Some teachers actually played ball too, it was hilarious seeing your old science teacher score a basket! All while the cheerleaders cheered, and I even learned some myself! "Dribble it, pass it, take that ball to the basket!"

Its been exam week, and I was exempt from my exams ( for the 3rd year in a row!) yay me! I was stoked to leave school and just hang out with friends. But when brother called, and I told him the good news, he recommended I take my exams. I mean, they can't hurt me, and getting into schools ARE very competitive these days. At first I was kind of upset, but I took them, and I'm actually glad I took some because I'm about ready to see my grade shoot up. =]
Another great thing about exam week is YOU CAN LEAVE SCHOOOL. Did I mention that already? Haha Friday it rained to my cousin, and my asian friend, Kyu Dae just snuck behind the band room and chatted about LOADS of things. We had fun sliding down the stair case and I painted our faces for the pep rally.

Uhh lots of "reading" and "work" gets done in the journalism room =P.

Jan. 18 2010 the KING lives

On Monday, Jan.18 We went downtown to celebrate the Kings Birthday. There were dancers, steppers, and speech readers ( Including myself!) who reminisced on the kings legend. Eventually I got carried away, grabbed the mike from a lady who was going around asking us questions on leadership, and interviewed my friends. They were pretty shocked that I did that, but I loved the expressions that were on their faces, thats what makes surprises so great =]
Afterwards, we signed a poster for peace. It sort of reminded me of Rachel's Challenge, exept this poster had some pretty funny stuff on it.

Blogging makes me REALLY excited about life. Thats important.
This week started off with a bang, we had our Y.E.A.H Kids of Honor semester party, celebrating us high school students who survived the semester, haha. The party-food-that-is-always-at-every-party food was served, like SODA (gahh! I ended up mixing lemonade, fruit punch, and grape juice in my cup. Yum, chyea!) chicken wings, and pizza. lots.and lots. of pizza. As a matter of fact, I've been eating a lot of pizza this week, NOT good!

Today we had a BIGbigbig SGA meeting, all the class officers were there. A lady who worked at the board came in to discuss dress codes with us, and she honestly wanted to know our opinions, so I was appreciated, but also a bit surprised about that. We all ended up not really having a lot to say, because it really was JUST a run-through of the dress code we already have ( that 90% of the students are breaking, including me ;]). We all thought we'd be discussing uniforms and whether or not we'd have to wear them in the 2010 school year, but nope, it was nothing like that. So the meeting was KIND of a waste. Blah, I'll choose missing 5th pd any day.
But after, Monzi (senior class president, kid I seriously look up to) talked to the officers about starting a petition that would allow all the schools in the county to have their graduation day on DIFFERENT days, instead of the say day, at different times, which the board is STRONGLY considering. Of course none of us want this, so I as well as they, are planning to seriously get this petition on board. I will honestly try to get as many people to sign it as I can. And I'm glad the semi-pointless meeting ended with us actually having some authority!

Keeping my hair in curls all this week was a challenge! Tommorow's friday and if my hair looks ragedy from constantly curling and rolling it, 'you guys' are just gonna have to bare with me! ;)

If I haven't mentioned already, I am Junior Class President for my highschool and I take it verrryy super duper seriously. I'm not sure where I got the braveness from to just simply JUMP into SGA and be president. But in the former election I passed out free candy, made posters, the whole 9 yards. And bless bless bless, I wont the election! I was mostly glad I won because I knew I'd make it my top priority, since I don't play any sports any more, and leadership is something I'm seriously passionate about. This year has been very proactive for me, I'm in charge of planning this years Junior/Senior banquet. That means hiring a cater, getting music together, putting up decorations, all that great stuff! But I have a wonderful crew at school and advisors to help me along the way. It seriously feels great to say "Hey, I think we should do this, this, and this" and have my voice heard. But I do try not to be bossy and include all the other SGA members into the activities and fund raisers we have, because seriously, where would we be and what would be done if we all could'nt work together?

R.I.P Richard Seay

I've never experienced a close death. I can honestly say I have been EXTREMELY fortunate to never have had to go through something like that. I know its coming in the future, and I also honestly don't know how I'm going to handle it if and when it does happen. I'm not at all emotionally strong in any way, and having not experienced any close deaths of any kind, I don't know when I'm going to be, at least to handle something like that, and it worries me.
On December 13th, 2010, History teacher Richard Seay passed away. At the moment there is a lot of speculation as of to HOW and WHY he die. I remember being on facebook and just seeing the R.I.Ps FLARE up and and I felt a soft spot in my heart, although I didn't personally know Mr.Seay. This morning at school, the WARMTH and compassion for this man and every thing he stood for was just spectacular. My History teacher whose honestly a very strong woman, just broke down in class and I honestly couldn't take it for awhile. I knew this wasn't just another death and as I heard people talk about what a great teacher he was, and how he loved his students as his own, I realized his time was WAY too short. Our principle made it a note to say that "YOU NEVER KNOW HOW LONG YOU'LL HAVE, SO LIVE IT UP." And the arguing that went on afterwards was just RIDICULOUS. A student made a note to remind us that we absolutely DON'T know how much time we have left, and that honestly fighting and hating and thinking about tommorow doesn't do any good. I'm glad she was able to think of this, even in the midst of what was going on. So I say today honestly, I AM, INCREDIBLY fortunate for everything I have, and to honestly be alive, becuase some things I've done and places I've gone to were not some of the safest places. I value my life, my family, my friends, and I challenge you to do the same.

Thrifting with Madre

Amen, Amen, AMENN!! I hadn't been thrifting in foreeeverr.
But even better than that, I've been spending more and more time with my mom lately, and its greatly needed since I will be going to college in say...a year and a half from now? We got some great finds like this belt from "Gadzooks"? Never heard of the store, but I'll be up in my room later trying to figure out what to wear with it.
And since mother just brought her sewing machine she ended up buying some fabric-ok LOTS of fabric, like rolls of it. But all in all we spent less thana $20 that day which is a thrifting MIRACLE.
Then We proceeded to the mall where I left her alone-BAD IDEA. Becuase I didn't want her to spend anything since she always complains about money, but behold when I got back in less than an hour she'd already been at bath and body works, brought about a year's worth of perfume. Ahh I love my mother. So contradictory like myself, I now see where I get it from :).

random, but you'll notice I could'nt find mini vaseline bottles ANYWHERE. But of course I found it in a random street corner store- you know the one where they sell the milk right next to the t-shirts?

Its fun digging in the back of your closet and saying "HEY! I forgot you were in there!"

I love blog jumping-jumping from fashion blog to fashion blog-In hopes of inspiration? I dont really know because I just end up wearing what I love anyway, what I think looks good on my body, and surprisingly, I rarely give a booty call what others may think of it, as long as I walk out of the house confident no one can bring me down.
OH! BTW have you guys seen these lady gaga dolls? REAL? I don't know but I'll be going to Toys R Us soon to find out!

I like to say I dress comfortably, because If I'M not comfortable, I feel my outfit suffers since I can't put total 100% confidence into it. You know what I mean?

Too much checkered? Yes I thought so too, didn't realize it till I started posting tho. Guess its checkered friday.

I've realized all I really need are my orange chucks and some comfy blue jeans to super size the deal. <3

The end of the first

So its the end of my first week back at school. I was hoping it'd start of sloww but NOPE-By Tuesday I was used to the swing of things, and really nothing had changed- exept for the fact that every other girl was wearing ugg boots now. I began to feel left out? CHYEA! Its almost like living in a world where everyone is bald...you may not want to be bald, but eventually, you may just get sick and tired of having no hair!
HAHA, I'm dealing with it.
I kept my hair curly this whole week, and I realize its SO much easier to maintain that having it straight, and not knowing what to do with straight hair but leave it down and/or put a bow in it. With curls I can shake it up and add cute little hair berets, headbands, and such.
<---Oh, and guess what? IT SNOWED TODAY! I mean it only lasted about 3 hours and the roads were cleared but it was great because school was closseddd-then guess what, after the hoo rah goes away because I realized we'll have to make up those days at the end of the year...tartersauce!
I took some pics behind and in front of my house-It was so pretty and so still. Then I shoveled some of the snow off our front step. When mom came home she yelled at me "Why didn't you just clean the whole driveway too!" I said "Good morning, mom." Where she proceeded to say she'd do it herself, and did- I love my mother, she's so proactive!

I also spent a lot of this week eating my brothers chocolate cake and listening to-GASP-WHAT?! the Jonas Brothers. I was always more a fan of their PERSONALITIES AND MORALS, more than music. But I was at the library and saw their album so I said-hey why not? I fell in love with their song "Hey baby" and "WW3". I know they really are good hardworking guys dedicated to their music and should just be...left alone in their private life. Yep. Said it =].

Kids of Honor

So today was not only our first day back at school, but it was also our first day back at Kids of Honor after the snow ruined our last meeting in December. Marcus was there, silly goose kept me laughing the WHOLEEE time. I honestly couldn't stop from the moment we got there. We were eating skittles and him and this girl KEPT ON arguing about stupid stuff like how she had yellow teeth and he looked constipated. It was soo funny, I love laughing at the stupid stuff.
Then we got into groups with Parnia and Urva, brainstorming on what we were going to film for our short movie. We came up with a lot of ideas but ended up agreeing on a mall scene, and someone dropping out of highschool to be successful? I'm not sure, its still a little sketchy, we need to floss out some parts.
The afterwards when we got on the van to go home, the 3 little muskeeters in the back WOULD NOT SHUT THEIR YAPPERS. So I turned on my camera and just kept on flashing them till they shutup. I guess it worked because it ended up being a quiet ride home. lovely.

Its New Yearsss!!!!

I am soooo living in the moment right now, this new years. I've had a fabulous break, week with friends, and spending time with family has been AMAZING, and life changing, definitely changed my perspective.
Today my Aunt Rose, sister, brother in law, nephews, brother, and mom spent new years together eating and chatting for hourrsss it was great. Wholesome, family moments, since my brother is take a flight back to Indiana Medical tomorrow =[. Gonna miss him but its great having him home and seeing how hard work can take you places, since this is where he is at.

It makes me want to work SUPER hard, and trust me, when school starts back up, I have about 2 weeks to get my GPA SKY HIGH. And trust me, it will go sky high because I am NOT getting kicked out of National Honor Society, heck no. That'll put like my whooolee career and life in jeopardy ( or at least it feels that way to me).
I'm sooo ready to crash, get this work done, and excel, having the highest honor in everything. I know I can, so why me? I say WHY NOT?!

G1 Party, December 30- 9-12am

AHHHH I found out last minute that I was going to go to this party, it started at 9 and I found out at 8:00pm! Soo I was RUSHING around the house trying to find the perfect outfit to wear, since I knew everyone was going to put on their best!
I went with my brother and his friend Walt, when we got there I got searched TWICE, because the bouncers thought I had weapons =P.
Although I regret not bringing my phone with me, I still had a good time dancing, and reuniting with friends like Gerardo! Missed him sooo much. Though the party was supposed to last until 2am, it only lasted till 12 because a fight broke out, and they had to call the police =[.
It was ridiculous, numerous cop cars came, and the guy got beat up with a chair! 2 more fights almost broke out, so we all went to WaWa for refreshments.
But of course, the cops went over there and were shutting down the store too, so we all had to go home. I was bummed the party didn't last longer, and I wasted $7, but all in all it was a good night of partying and dancing!

January 09- Met Will at the mall, funny goofy, great guy to be around.

February- bonded w/ Drew+ Will :)
March- Won 2nd place for W.E.B DuBois speech competion in Hampton U!
April- Won Junior class President!
Went on college tours!
May- HOBY! <-- this speaks for itself!
June- MLW @ Towson U!
July- HOBY reunion in Assateague! <3 you guys!
August- Summer class over early, quick summer
September-school, but it started off refreshing and easy this year
October- HOMECOMINGGGG was aweesome, and taking my nephews trick or treating was even better, Tamba's first trick or treat =]
November- thanksgivingg, helping out w/ Kids of Honor in Walmart, and moms turkey! yum!!
December- G1 party, extended bonding time with family on christmas, hanging out with Sussannah, seeing Gerardo on December 30! all a great wrap up to a good year!!!!

On Tuesday, we went to the movies and saw "Nine", which I really enjoyed, since I loveee musical theatre. SOO zannah+movies+ sweet buttery popcorn for only a dollar=sweet!
When walking out of the theatre we saw the posters for the new Alice in Wonderland movie, which I'm reallllyy curious and interested in seeing. The graphics for this movie look amazing!!

I was really stoked to not only get out of the house, but go shopping w/ zannah today! She's great, and shes the sweetest and most innocent person which makes it easy to be her friend.
We honestly spent at least 45min in pacsun, getting her a shirt and stuff, I was a bit exhausted but it was great having her there to keep me entertained-and i think i know pacsun inside and out now!
we sat on the mini kiddy horses and just talked-I wasnt embarrassed at all lol. Oh btw, I wore bright pink hoodie cousins got me, pink polo, and sperries. Idk I felt comfy but hopefully the preppy look isnt taking me over! <3

soo the day after christmas I spent the WHOLE day at home. You know, one of those days where you dont even open up the front door to get a breath of freshair.
It was boring but I got a lot of things accomplished:
Spoke to Susannah, so HOPEFULLY were going to the mall tommorow, if my mom lets me.
Finished reading PUSH, I was shocked at the story but grateful for the inspiring poems it had in the back.
I used my new purple glue gun! I decorated this old blue bow and headband I had, I just love making artsy stuff like that.

At the end of the day I watched Spiderman 3, pretty good movie actually, I didnt think it would be since I'm not a total Spiderman fan. The I ended it off with texting Kirstyn, which I always enjoy because she's just great, she always has fun stories to tell =].

I love my family, and I love Christmas even more! I woke up at 7:09a.m sharp because I was just wayy too jitty and wanted to open up the presents my mom and sister had wrapped for me. I got some pretty neat stuff!

TWINS! You guys are great. Nothing else to say. So sweet! So foreign! Kinda like me? Perhaps were gonna be wayyy great friends!
Kirstyn! You just do NOT know how awesome you are to me, girl! From your name to the stupid random stuff we text about. I love your personality and you have a really sweet voice too. We are very alike but different in many ways, and you can always make me smile! I know we will be good friends, even when we get older and hanging out will be LOOAAADSSS of fun! You truly showed me what HOBY was about, what I wanted, and how its eternal. I will forever love you for that, as we will forever be friends!
Susannah Jonesssss you are my best friend and the coolest, chillest chica to hang out with! With met over weird dramatic circumstances, but thats ok, because I think truly together we are both non dramatic, peaceful people. Tyler Hoff, where have you been! I missed you and I will NEVER forget the first time we met. It was at HOBY, and we were supposed to be doing a scavenger hunt. Of course I found your western plaid shirt and cowboy boots entertaining, so I immediately started chatting with you. I told you I was from Cameroon, and surprise, surprise, YOU had been there! Of all people! How lucky I was to meet someone who had helped out in the country I was born. You were so charming and I just knew you were a good person.
I was very stoked when I found out you were ALSO in my group, and we became instant friends. You stayed true to yourself and I'll never forget or take for granted how lucky I was to even have met you, considering, you weren't even from Maryland! =]
ALORA! I don't think she knows JUST HOW MUCH she means to me. This was pretty much my best friend last summer who I could do and say anything with. I'd spend that night at her house, which I just LOVED because her parents treated me like their own, and I just felt SO welcomed there. We'd stay up all night prank calling or i.ming people till about 1.a.m. These are the times and the moments I cherish the most with people. I just love being around people who love me and take their time to make me feel comfortable.

So all in all, it was a good-GREAT day. And ending it off with a cup of cherry juice and texting Kirstyn isnt a bad way to end it either =]

Its rare that me and my mom get to spend quality time together, bonding and stuff, so I was REALLY stoked today when we went shopping for over half of the day! She came home from work at 7 a.m and immediately hopped into the shower to get ready for us to go. I commend her for not sleeping, because I am not too sure if I could work from 10:30 pm to 7:30am and hit all the places we did, but shes a trooper!
We went to her work so she could pick up her pay check, went to the bank, dollar store ( where I saw this super cute mini juice bottle!) library (Which i was totally excited about because the book i ordered came in:
soo excited to read it!
Then we went to Sams club-WOAH it was a MESS in there. Walmart was next, but we couldnt find any parking so we passed and went to Target. There we brought my aunt's christmas gift at Michaels ( after buying my MUCH needed purple glue gun) and wrapped it in the car "shh!" Then on to my cousins house where we spent quality time laughing and such, I love them =]

Ahh lets take a few steps back so I can introduce you to what I love!
Since I'm in the GEARUP program, I've been blessed with opportunities to go on leadership summits and super cool field trips like the one we took to the baltimore aquarium:

We saw a dolphin show, which was just SURREAL to me. A lot of us that wen were really blessed to see something as amazing as this, because most kids like us don't get the privelege. Either way, I was very thankful. And enjoyed myself!
^The summit took place at Towson U. We were there for 4 DAYS! and of course I stuffed myself all 4 days, because once I see food, I just gorge like I've never seen it before. A habit I need to break? YES. When I see the food on my plate I'm just like I MUST HAVE IT.
